I inherited my talent for painting and drawing from my grandparents who were both freelance artists. I loved animals from an early age and became a veterinary nurse when I left school. I worked in an animal hospital and found that whilst monitering the patients that were in overnight I could hone my drawing skills! I started my art career doing animal portraits and I still love working in pastel and pencil to render fur and bright eyes.
