Society Of Feline Artists

Here at SOFA towers we have had a long summer working hard to find a way of hosting our own exhibition next year. As you know our lovely gallery, who hosted our London show for 22 years, closed in the spring when the owners took their well earned retirement. Well since then there has been a lot of work behind the scenes looking at new ways to bring the best in feline fine art to cat lovers around the world. We had two projects for this year…

The first project is the new SOFA online gallery.

It launched it’s first show in August and was a great success. Thank you to all of you who visited and sent us wonderful feedback on the show. We plan to do more online shows in the future.

The second project is a lot bigger and we need your help!

We want to raise funds for a London show in a gallery in Central London next year.
We love having the work of our members up on the walls with a gallery full of cat lovers come to enjoy the show. It’s always great social occasion and a chance to art lovers and artists alike to meet and chat. So the committee have been researching galleries, visiting the spaces and working out the logistics and costs of a London show and a private view. After a lot of hard work we now have a shortlist of suitable spaces.

Putting on our own London show will be a big undertaking. We have many members who have offered to help with the work involved but what we don’t have are the funds to hire the gallery or host the private view.

So we are launching a crowdfunding campaign!

Donating and Rewards

We hope that you’ll help us reach our goal and raise enough money for a wonderful feline fine art show in the capital next year. Our members have donated some wonderful feline art as rewards for those who donate to the crowdfunding campaign, including limited edition prints, cards and paintings. When the campaign launches tomorrow you’ll be able to donate and to choose from the gorgeous rewards our members have donated. All the funds will go to a SOFA exhibition.

We will be launching the campaign tomorrow, the 12th of September at 7pm. Watch this space!
