This beautiful pastel painting has a fascinating history! Marie took the original reference photo almost two decades ago, waiting for the perfect moment to bring her vision to life.
Marie says: “I took the reference photo for this beautiful cat almost 20 years ago from a neighbour’s shed roof! I had the vision that it could be a beautiful artwork, but did not have the skills to create it at the time. At long last, I embarked on creating this in pastel pencil and soft pastel.”
